ABOUT The Facet Theory Expert (FT-XP) Program​

Facet Theory Expert ProgramsThe Facet Theory Expert (FT-XP) Program Package includes two complementary programs:1.Faceted Smallest Space Analysis (Faceted SSA): This MDS-based theory-construction procedure identifies optimal partition lines to discover one-to-one correspondences between research content and regions within geometrical spaces.2.Partial Order Scalogram Analysis by Base Coordinates (POSAC): A multidimensional scaling procedure designed to measure complex concepts that go beyond unidimensional (Guttman) scaling. Interpretation of the resulting scales is enhanced by optimal curves that partition the measurement space, along with auxiliary programs, Lattice Space Analysis (LSA1 & LSA2), which map variables based on their roles in structuring the scales.The attached instructions explain how to install the FT-XP programs. The one-time installation requires the use of a Virtual Machine, enabling compatibility across various operating systems, not just Windows. However, if these instructions prove challenging, assistance from an IT professional may be necessary for the initial setup.We welcome any comments on these FT-XP programs, as your feedback will be valuable in our ongoing development of simplified Faceted SSA and POSAC programs for Windows, which will eliminate the need for a Virtual Machine.
